As our practice continues to grow, we're looking for a Clinical Office Assistant who shares our commitment to compassionate care and teamwork.The Opportunity: Our family health practice located in Moncton, NB, is offering an opportunity for a dedicated Clinical Office Assistant to join our growing team on a full-time, permanent basis. We are seeking a positive, adaptable, and proactive individual who thrives in a collaborative environment, embraces change, and is comfortable working alongside different physicians and evolving practice needs. The ideal candidate takes initiative, contributes to a supportive team culture, and shares our commitment to providing accessible, patient-centered care.As a vital member of the team, the Clinical Office Assistant plays a key role in creating a positive patient experience and ensuring the smooth day-to-day operation of the clinic. The successful candidate demonstrates strong organizational and time management skills, works efficiently in a dynamic setting, and approaches patient care with empathy, professionalism, and a genuine desire to improve access to care for our community.If you thrive in a fast-paced environment, are passionate about administration and healthcare, enjoy taking initiative, and value teamwork, we would love to hear from you!Key Responsibilities, as required/applicable: The Clinical Office Assistant serves as a clinically oriented support role and acts as an important link between patients, providers, and the clinic team. Key responsibilities within this role include (but are not limited to):Welcomes patients, escorts them to examination rooms, and prepares them to see the clinical team.Obtains and accurately records vital signs (blood pressure, pulse, temperature, and weight) within the Electronic Medical Record (EMR).Performs accurate medication reconciliations, updates allergy documentation, and ensures patient charts are up to date.Prepares examination rooms between patients to ensure they remain fully stocked, clean, and welcoming.Coordinates incoming diagnostic test results and laboratory reports for clinician review.Utilizes clinical knowledge to identify urgent patient needs and escalates to other members of the clinical team, as needed.Coordinates patient flow efficiently to minimize wait times and ensure the smooth day-to-day operation of the family practice.Experience/Education required:A diploma or equivalent work experience in Medical Office Administration or as a Personal Support Worker (PSW); or a Licensed Practical Nursing (LPN) designation.Solid understanding of medical terminology is required.Proven experience in accurately obtaining vitals, performing medication reconciliation, and recognizing signs that require clinical escalation.Previous experience in primary care or community health is considered an asset.Experience using an electronic medical record software (EMR) is an asset.Basic CPR certification.General knowledge of the New Brunswick medical system is an asset.Qualifications:Strong computer literacy and proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.Ability to multitask and prioritize effectively in a busy clinical environment.Self-motivated individual who works well independently and as a team.Ability to maintain a high regard for confidentiality and advocacy for patients.Demonstrates excellent documentation skills and attention to detail.Strong communication and conflict resolution skills.Strong interpersonal skills.Exhibits compassion and patience.Contribute to a culture of problem solving, collaboration, innovation, and excellence.Due to daily operational needs, proficiency in English and French are required.Working Location Moncton , NB Work location On site Salary $ 30.00 to $ 35.00 HOUR hourly Terms of employment Permanent employment Full time Starts as soon as possible vacancies 1 vacancy Source CareerBeacon #MB2608207555 Various locations Moncton, NB
