poultry farm worker

*Job Summary* Our operation is a broiler hatching egg farm 20 minutes from Norwich ON and 10 minutes from Delhi ON. You will be responsible for being in the barn with hens and roosters doing daily tasks ensuring animal welfare. Egg collection is three times a day in an air conditioned work area. *Hours* Start time is 7:30am and ending around 3:30pm. Hours can vary a bit based on production cycle. Minimum 2 days per week with sometimes 5 days during the week needed. Some weekends will be required when weekend staff is off and during peak busy time (October and 1st half of November). Schedule is set well in advance to ensure staff has adequate notice. Start date would be September 22nd. The barn is empty for approximately 2 months a year, expected off time would be approximately beginning of June to mid August. *Pay* Pay is $24/hr. Automatic pay increases occur when you return for the next flock. Bonus added if you stay to the end of a flock and if you return for the next flock. Lunch break is fully paid time. If a federal stat holiday is worked then pay is 1 1/2. *Skills* No experience needed, farm owner provides all on farm training.
