JOB DESCRIPTIONCavendish Farms is looking for Seasonal Farm Equipment Operator (recovery tractor) for our Potato Farm located in Chapman Settlement, NS.It is a SEASONAL position from mid or end of September for approximately 3-4 weeksWork Schedule: 7 days a week, 10-14 hours per dayWork Location: Chapman Settlement, NS.RESPONSIBILITIESA positive attitude.Safely operate farm tractors.Ability to effectively communicate with management and co-workers.Preform daily equipment maintenance; ensuring all components are functioning properly.Contribute to the team's goals and provide feedback on how to better operations.General labour duties like potato grading, disinfecting equipment, cleaning buildings/yard, etc. when needed.Please note this role is a blend of equipment operation duties and all the other duties depending on the business needs. QUALIFICATIONSExperience operating tractors or other heavy farm equipment.Ability to lift 50lbs.Ability to work independently and in a fast-paced, team environment.Availability to work extended hours, evenings, and weekends.Willingness to work outdoors in mixed weather conditions.Mechanical aptitude.High degree of attention to detail.Previous experience working in farm operations would be an asset.ABOUT USFounded in 1882, J.D.
