Your main responsibilities Apply and promote Englobe's health and safety rules; Responsible for project management and delivery of geotechnical investigations and analysis for engineering studies for deep and shallow foundations (static, seismic and dynamic machine loadings); Experience with slope and earth structure stability, hydrogeology studies, excess soil regulations, stormwater control facilities, in-situ testing; Knowledge and experience with geotechnical instrumentation, construction inspection and laboratory testing; You will also play a key role on the engineering team providing leadership and mentoring of other team members; Prepare Technical proposals and write engineering reports; Business Development, client liaison and management. What makes you unique University degree in Civil/Geotechnical or Geological Engineering; Completion of advanced or specialized university courses in geotechnical engineering and foundation engineering (Masters' degree an asset); Professional Engineering (P.Eng) designation in Ontario is required; Minimum of 6 years of solid Geotechnical engineering experience; Experience in geotechnical related work such as site investigations, design of deep and shallow foundations, slope stability and on-site review of construction activities (asset); Ability to work independently, secure business and deliver geotechnical reports with minimal supervision; Current registration with MTO's RAQs for foundations and/or tunneling disciplines an asset; Demonstrated ability that you are well organized, show initiative and can manage a team of technicians and/or subcontractors; Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects at any given time and work in a multi-disciplinary team environment; Demonstrated sensitivity and consideration for occupational health and safety. The salary range for this position is $83,604 to $109,730 CAD base per annum, based on the responsibilities of the role, internal equity, and current market benchmarks. The final offer will be determined based on a combination of factors, including the candidate's skills, experience and qualifications, their positioning within our internal compensation structure, and relevant geographic cost-of-living considerations, where applicable. If you just finished reading one job ad and felt paralyzed by choice, you're not alone—but this scale is actually an advantage. It means you can afford to be selective.
Start by geography and language. The majority of engineer ads—117,837 of them—have the job posting text written in English. Use that as one filter, but remember: the ad text language tells you nothing about whether the role actually requires you to speak English day-to-day. Read the job description carefully. Then check which countries have the volume you're targeting. Singapore, Poland, and Australia round out the top five after India and the US.
