Education: College, CEGEP or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 3 months to less than 1 year. or equivalent experience. Work site environment: Outdoors. Noisy. Dusty. Estimate costs and materials. Ensure health and safety regulations are followed. Read blueprints and drawings. Requisition or order materials, equipment and supplies. Schedule and co-ordinate work on sites. Resolve work problems, provide technical advice and recommend measures to improve productivity and product quality. Inspect sites or facilities to ensure safety and cleanliness standards. Establish methods to meet work schedules and co-ordinate work activities with other work units. Ensure compliance to drawings, specifications and building codes. Supervise daily activities of floorhands, labourers and helpers . Coordinate subcontractors activities . Supervision: 5-10 people.
