Areas of practice include: articulation, AAC, literacy, fluency, social communication, and expressive and receptive language. Currently, we are looking to hire 1 SLP to join our team in a salaried or hourly position. As part of our pediatric therapy model, we place a high value on working with families, not just the child seeking support. Using a parent coaching model, we integrate parents, families, caregivers, and support staff into therapy sessions and teach them the necessary skills to effect change outside of treatment sessions. Using this model, we empower parents and caregivers to be able to work with their child effectively to implement recommended therapy plans and achieve identified goals now and into the future. As a community provider, we deliver treatment in a variety of settings according to the needs of the family; sessions may occur in the family home, in the community, in the clinic, or via telehealth. As a multi-disciplinary clinic, we value collaboration with other healthcare professionals. As part of the FCC program, you will have the chance to work closely with a team of occupational therapists, physiotherapists, behavioural consultants, social workers, and school teams. There will be an opportunity to work with partnering organizations on cross-training initiatives and collaborative programming.
