Daytime, early evening and weekend availability is preferred. * Flexible work hours (make your own schedule) * Competitive compensation * Opportunity to service all ages and communication areas * Collaboration among other OT's, CDA's & SLP colleagues on the team *Primary Responsibilities* * Occupational Therapy/ Physio therapy Assistant diploma from a recognized community college, or other equivalent * Two years of relevant OTA/PTA experience * Knowledge of the rehabilitation approach to client care and the roles of OT and SLP * Experience with rehabilitation services (hospital, clinic, community) and/or personal training certifications are all assets * Excellent computer skills (i.e. ability to work in MS Word and Outlook) * Great interpersonal skills and the proven ability to work with different personality types * A valid Driver?s Licence and access to a vehicle *The successful applicant will* * Be committed to providing excellent, empathic care in line with our values * Possess a courteous, positive and professional attitude * Possess effective oral and written communication skills with ability to engages others * Strong time management skills and ability to organize daily activities and priorities * Ability to work independently, self-directed *Qualifications* * Diploma/Degree in related healthcare field or specialized training (OTA, PTA, Kin, etc.) * Professional Liability Insurance * Recent Vulnerable Sector Screening * Vehicle for travel and a valid driver?s license and auto-insurance required Please note you will be fully supported by Occupational Therapists, Speech Language Pathologists and other allied health professionals.
