This position requires a strong understanding of dental procedures and excellent interpersonal skills to support both the dental team and patients. *Duties* * Assist dentists during examinations and procedures, ensuring all necessary instruments and materials are prepared and available. * Take and develop dental radiographs (X-rays) as required. * Maintain accurate patient records using dental software using Power Practice. * Provide patient education on oral hygiene, post-operative care, and treatment plans. * Manage sterilization of instruments and maintain cleanliness in the treatment areas. * Schedule appointments and manage patient flow to optimize office efficiency. * Support orthodontic procedures if necessary. * Collaborate with the dental receptionist to ensure seamless patient communication and scheduling. * Handle pediatric patients with care, ensuring their comfort during visits. *Requirements* * Previous experience in dental assisting is preferred; familiarity with orthodontics or pediatrics is a plus. * Proficient in using dental software such as Power Practice for record management. * Knowledge of medical terminology related to dentistry is essential. * Strong organizational skills with attention to detail for maintaining accurate patient records. * Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with patients, families, and team members. * Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while providing compassionate care. * Certification in Dental Assisting is required. * Willingness to learn new technologies and procedures as needed.
