Global Drain Technologies, doing business as FoodSafe Drains, Slot Drain Systems, and Landscape Drains, is a leading manufacturer of engineered drainage systems for food and beverage manufacturers, commercial & industrial facilities, and urban landscape projects. *About the job* At Global Drain Technologies, we take pride in manufacturing the highest quality stainless steel drainage products in the industry. We are experiencing a wave of growth and are looking to add to our Shipping and Receiving department. In this position the successful candidate will perform a variety of tasks that include passivation, sandblasting, cleaning, assembling, packing, loading, and unloading of our products. The Production Assistant reports to the Shipping & Receiving Supervisor. *Key Responsibilities* * Ensure health and safety is a priority by following company policies and procedures; * Wash and load parts with baskets and move through passivation process; * Perform maintenance including emptying, cleaning, and filling acid tanks safely and efficiently; * Operate sandblasting equipment to thoroughly clean stainless steel products; * Effectively clean stainless steel products using SURFOX machine; * Assemble and prepare shipments according to work order requirements; * Assist in loading and unloading of delivery trucks; * Inspect, verify and organize incoming materials; * Assist in cycle counts for inventory; * Perform quality checks to ensure that established quality standards are being maintained; * Process production orders within our ERP system; * Maintain a clean work area; * Other job-related duties as assigned by the supervisor. *What you bring* * Related experience in shipping and receiving; * High School diploma or combination of education and experience is considered; * Customer Service focused with a positive work attitude; * Ability to be a team player; * Mechanically inclined with good attention to detail; * Must be able to frequently move, push, pull, lift or carry heavy objects up to 50 lbs; * Experience operating a forklift is an asset. *Why work with us* Choosing to work at Global Drain Technologies means you will be part of a high performing team of engaged specialists, motivated in expanding their potential in a rewarding culture.
