Reporting to the Vice President, Community Relations, the Director, Lunenburg supports the delivery of community excellence and leadership within their local United Way?s geography. They are solely responsible for the day-to-day operations in Lunenburg County. The Director, Lunenburg engages in business development, relationship development and donor stewardship, and leads all local community investment and community projects. They may also be assigned to regional initiatives, offering their leadership and skills to priority areas of work. Key responsibilities include: * Local Leadership: Foster a positive and inclusive workplace culture, support staff wellbeing and professional growth, create opportunities for team connection, and assist with onboarding and offboarding processes. * Philanthropy: Lead donor stewardship and relationship management efforts; oversee key corporate, public-sector, and individual donor accounts; participate in fundraising initiatives and campaigns; identify and engage with new business opportunities; coordinate events; and strengthen volunteer leadership. * Community Investment: Support the implementation of the funding framework by coordinating volunteers, assisting applicants, reviewing submissions, documenting decisions, preparing funding recommendations and agreements, maintaining relationships with funded partners and other community organizations. * Other Responsibilities: Support local councils and committees, maintain strategic community partnerships, participate in relevant networks and working groups, represent United Way Maritimes in the community, build relationships with new, currently unserved areas of the South Shore, support affordable housing work in your region, help with regional projects as needed, and undertake additional duties as assigned. Required Qualifications & Experience: * Post-secondary education and/or combination of related experience * Minimum of 5 years? experience within the social sector * Strong project planning and organizational skills * A high degree of self-motivation, leadership, and ability to excel both in team environments and independently * An understanding of current social policy issues and trends in Lunenburg County, elsewhere in Nova Scotia, the Maritimes, and Canada * Strong Microsoft Office skills, including advanced knowledge of Excel and database programs * Excellent communication (written and verbal), interpersonal skills, and Location Bridgewater , NS Work location Hybrid Salary $ 78,280 YEAR annually Terms of employment Full time Starts as soon as possible vacancies 1 vacancy Source indeed.com #10234975612 Various locations Bridgewater, NS
