CAD (computer-assisted drafting) technician

Education: Other trades certificate or diploma. or equivalent experience. Tasks: Prepare engineering designs and drawings. Read blueprints to determine work requirements . Supervise other drafting personnel . Train new drafting personnel. Develop and prepare design sketches. Prepare construction specifications, costs and material estimates. Estimate costs and materials. Complete documentation packages and drawing sets. Examine drawings for conformity and errors. Consult with client, engineers or production specialists to establish product requirements. Leading/instructing groups. Print in 3D. Certificates, licences, memberships, and courses : SOLIDWORKS Certification. Type of drafting: Manual drafting. Shop drawings. Detailing drafting. Presentation drawings. Type of product: Furniture.
