The Finance team is seeking a highly organized and proactive Senior Financial Controls Analyst who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is passionate about financial integrity, strong governance and high-quality reporting.In this role, you will support controllership activities, financial reporting, month-end and quarter-end close processes, reconciliations, audit support and accounting documentation for a dynamic business unit. Working closely with Finance leaders and cross-functional partners, you will help ensure accurate financial results, strong controls and clear documentation of key accounting processes.You will bring strong technical accounting skills, sound business judgment, curiosity and a continuous improvement mindset. You will have the opportunity to contribute to evolving processes, strengthen control discipline and build practical, scalable ways of working in a complex and changing environment.Key ResponsibilitiesParticipate in monthly, quarterly and year-end close activities, including journal entries, account reconciliations, supporting schedules and variance analysisSupport the review and analysis of financial results, including investigation of reconciling items, unusual trends and accounting issuesPrepare documentation to support accounting treatments, financial reporting, audit requests and management review requirementsSupport fixed asset accounting, lease accounting activities and balance sheet account ownership, as requiredAssist with financial statement support, statutory reporting, management reporting and other controllership deliverablesPartner with FP&A, Treasury, Tax, business teams and corporate functions to gather information, validate assumptions and resolve issuesSupport compliance with accounting policies, financial controls and governance requirementsContribute to process improvement, standardization and automation of controllership activities, with a focus on practical and sustainable ways of workingParticipate in special projects and Finance initiatives that strengthen reporting quality, control discipline and business readinessCritical QualificationsUniversity degree in Accounting, Finance, Business or a related discipline; or equivalent work experience2+ years of experience in accounting, controllership, audit, financial reporting, operational finance or a related finance roleCPA designation or active enrollment in the CPA program is preferredStrong understanding of accounting principles, financial reporting concepts and internal control disciplineStrong analytical, organizational and problem-solving skills, with the ability to connect details to the broader business contextAdvanced Excel skills and comfort working with financial data, account reconciliations and reporting filesAbility to manage competing priorities and meet deadlines during close, reporting and planning cyclesDetail-oriented with a high degree of accuracy, accountability and follow-throughStrong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively with stakeholders across Finance Location Montréal , QC Work location On site Salary $ 28.21 to $ 72.36 HOUR hourly Terms of employment Permanent employment Full time Starts as soon as possible vacancies 1 vacancy Source CareerBeacon #2237357 Various locations Montréal, QC
