*Job Summary* We are seeking a motivated and skilled Backhoe Operator to join our dynamic construction team. In this role, you will be responsible for operating backhoes and other heavy equipment to assist with excavation, grading, loading, and site preparation. Your expertise will help ensure projects are completed efficiently, safely, and to the highest standards. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work on diverse construction sites, utilizing your mechanical knowledge and heavy equipment operation skills to make a tangible impact on infrastructure development. *Duties* * Operate backhoes with precision to perform excavation, trenching, and material handling tasks across various construction projects * Use loaders, excavators, graders, and dozers to prepare sites for paving, foundation work, or other construction activities * Conduct routine inspections of heavy equipment such as Caterpillar machinery to ensure optimal performance and safety compliance * Assist with horizontal drilling operations and other specialized construction techniques as needed * Maintain detailed records of equipment usage, maintenance needs, and project progress * Follow all safety protocols and procedures to create a secure work environment for yourself and team members * Collaborate with project managers and team members to execute tasks efficiently while adhering to project timelines *Experience* * Proven experience operating backhoes in a construction setting with a strong understanding of heavy equipment operation * Mechanical knowledge of construction machinery including excavators, loaders, dozers, graders, and paving equipment * Hands-on experience with John deere machinery or similar brands is highly desirable * Knowledge of horizontal drilling techniques and related tools is a plus * Demonstrated ability to read blueprints or site plans to accurately execute excavation and grading tasks * Prior construction experience involving paving projects or site development is advantageous Join us in building the future!
