*Job Summary* We are seeking a motivated and dependable 5 Ton Truck Driver to join our dynamic logistics team. In this role, you will be responsible for safely operating a 5-ton truck to transport freight, equipment, and supplies across various locations. Your expertise in commercial driving, heavy equipment operation, and automotive repair will ensure timely deliveries and smooth operations. This position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to our company's success while maintaining high safety standards and delivering exceptional service. *Duties* * Safely operate a 5-ton truck for local and regional freight deliveries, ensuring compliance with all traffic laws and safety regulations * Load and unload freight using forklifts or other heavy equipment, ensuring proper handling and secure placement of cargo * Conduct routine inspections of the vehicle before and after trips, including checking brakes, tires, lights, and fluid levels * Maintain accurate delivery logs, shipping documentation, and vehicle maintenance records * Communicate effectively with dispatchers, warehouse staff, and clients to coordinate delivery schedules and resolve issues promptly * Assist with minor automotive repairs or troubleshooting as needed to keep the vehicle in optimal condition * Follow all safety protocols during loading, unloading, and driving operations to prevent accidents or damage *Experience* * Proven experience operating commercial trucks, specifically 5-ton vehicles or similar heavy-duty trucks * Knowledge of freight handling procedures and proper securing techniques * Ability to operate forklifts and other heavy equipment safely (certification preferred) * Familiarity with automotive repair basics to troubleshoot minor mechanical issues * Valid commercial driver?s license CLASS 5 with a clean driving record * Experience in heavy equipment operation is highly desirable * Strong attention to detail, safety awareness, and excellent communication skills * Air brake will be an asset.
