The West Vancouver Community Services Department has an immediate opening for a casual Pilates Instructor. The District of West Vancouver offers a wide range of health & fitness activities including a dynamic and diverse Group Fitness Schedule at our West Vancouver and Gleneagles Community Centre sites. This position is based out of the West Vancouver Community Centre. We are seeking a certified Pilates Instructor who is available to teach a weekly mat Pilates class and has the potential to offer holiday coverage for other instructors. Preference will be given to someone with experience working with older adults. Additional classes are a possibility depending on demand. Please apply if you are a certified Pilates instructor from a recognised certifying body (Stott etc.) and are interested in joining our dynamic team. New graduates are welcome. The successful candidate will possess a current Pilates Certification, current First Aid and CPR and a community-focused perspective. Shortlisted candidates will be invited to demonstrate their teaching skills. The candidate should be available to work Thursdays at 9:30 AM. The successful candidate is required to supply a police information check with vulnerable sector and a copy of their credentials. Position Status:Casual-Non-Union Hours of Work:Up to 25 hours per week (Casual) Hours and days of work may vary. Rate of Pay:$40-$55 per hour.
