*Overview* We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Maintenance Mechanic to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining, diagnosing, and repairing a fleet of coach buses to ensure they remain safe, reliable, and roadworthy. This role requires a proactive approach to preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and mechanical repairs, with a strong focus on minimizing downtime and maintaining the highest standards of fleet safety and reliability *Responsibilities* * Conduct safety inspections and perform preventive maintenance on the coach fleet. * Perform routine maintenance on machinery and equipment to ensure optimal performance. * Troubleshoot mechanical issues and conduct repairs as necessary. * Maintain accurate records of maintenance work performed and parts used. * Collaborate with other team members to ensure timely completion of maintenance tasks. * Follow all safety protocols and procedures while performing maintenance duties. * Assist in the installation of new equipment as needed. *Requirements* * Completion of one of the following Ontario College of Trades Programs: Truck and Coach Technician (310T) or Provincial/Territorial equivalent with Red Seal Endorsement (RSE); Automotive Service Technician Program (310S) or Provincial/Territorial equivalent with Red Seal Endorsement (RSE); * Possess and maintain valid Driver's License * Experience working on and/or diagnosing Volvo, Cummins, Detroit would be an asset * Familiarity with electrical systems, hydraulics, and pneumatics is a plus. * Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail. * Ability to work independently as well as part of a team. * Basic Computer knowledge in MS Office and maintenance software programs. * Willingness to work overtime if required. * Strong communication skills to effectively collaborate with team members. * Additional compensation available for employees working the evening/night shift.
