*Overview* We have an immediate opening for Veterinary Technician, Registered Veterinary Technician, or Veterinary Assistant. The successful candidate will be self-sufficient, upbeat, and have strong communication skills. Experience is an asset but we are willing to train the right individual for our team. Willingness to learn is a must, as well as the ability to multi-task and work in a fast-paced environment as a team or independently. We are a small but always growing companion Animal Hospital focused on excellent patient care and customer service. We have been around since 2013 and are located in the Riverside area, close to local shopping, dining and other amenities. *Duties* Responsibilities may vary from day to day but mainly consist of the following : * Assisting veterinarian during examinations and surgical procedures * Performing laboratory tests such as blood work, fecal and urinalysis. Prepping samples to send out to the lab * Monitoring animal patients before, during, and after procedures * Maintaining accurate medical records and documentation * Computer work: booking appointments, inputting patients/clients into computer, cash out clients, invoicing, Placing and receiving orders into the computer, end of day closing * Filing/pulling files * Restocking shelves, receiving orders * Educating pet owners on proper care, nutrition, and preventive health measures * Ensuring a clean and safe environment for both animals and staf *Experience the ideal candidate will possess:* * A degree or certification for Veterinary Technician or Veterinary Assistant * Experience working in a veterinary clinic or animal hospital is preferred but not nessacerily a requirement * Familiarity with laboratory procedures and equipment is highly desirable * Willing to step outside their comfort zone * Strong communication skills to effectively interact with clients and team members * A compassionate attitude towards animals and their owners If you are passionate about animal care and are looking to grow your career, we encourage you to apply.
