Experienced Front of House Manager *Please note: This is a senior leadership position intended for an established hospitality professional with previous experience successfully managing a front-of-house team. It is not an entry-level management or introductory hospitality role.* *Mati* is seeking a confident, experienced, and hospitality-driven *Front of House Manager* to lead our team and uphold the high level of service our guests know and expect. The successful candidate will bring strong professional judgment, a composed leadership presence, and proven experience overseeing restaurant operations and developing front-of-house teams. You must be comfortable taking ownership of service, making decisions independently, holding team members accountable, and managing challenging situations with professionalism and discretion. *Responsibilities* * Take ownership of daily front-of-house operations and service execution * Lead the dining room with confidence, professionalism, and a visible presence * Manage reservations, seating plans, and guest flow throughout the restaurant * Welcome guests warmly and build meaningful, lasting guest relationships * Lead, supervise, and support Servers, Bartenders, Barbacks, Hosts, and Server Assistants * Conduct daily pre-shift meetings and clearly communicate service expectations, menu updates, and operational priorities * Set clear standards and hold team members accountable for performance * Provide ongoing coaching, mentorship, and constructive feedback * Anticipate guest needs and address concerns promptly, thoughtfully, and professionally * Remain composed and solutions-focused during high-volume services and challenging situations * Collaborate closely with kitchen and bar leadership to deliver a seamless dining experience * Support recruitment, onboarding, training, and team-development initiatives * Foster a positive, professional, and team-focused workplace culture * Assist with scheduling and other operational responsibilities as required *Qualifications* * A minimum of three years of direct experience in a comparable restaurant-management position * Previous experience as a Front of House Manager, Restaurant Manager, Assistant General Manager, General Manager, or Maître D? is required * Demonstrated experience independently leading service and managing a front-of-house team * A strong understanding of elevated service standards and restaurant operations * Proven ability to coach employees, address performance concerns, and maintain accountability * Strong leadership, communication, decision-making, and problem-solving skills * Excellent organizational abilities and attention to detail * A calm, confident, and professional approach in a fast-paced environment * A genuine passion for hospitality and building lasting guest relationships * Experience with OpenTable and restaurant POS systems is considered an asset * Availability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays is required (New Years & Valentines Day)\*\*\* *What We Offer* * Competitive compensation based on experience * Opportunities for professional growth and advancement within a growing hospitality group * Staff dining discounts and team perks * A supportive and collaborative leadership environment * The opportunity to make a meaningful impact on Mati?s team and guest experience *This position is best suited to a seasoned hospitality professional who is ready to take full ownership of the front-of-house experience?not someone beginning their career in restaurants or stepping into management for the first time.* If you have successfully held a comparable leadership position and are passionate about developing teams and creating memorable guest experiences, we would love to hear from you.
