We are currently seeking 3rd - 4th year experienced Apprentice Carpenters and Journeyperson Carpenters for a full-time permanent position to join our team. *Responsibilities include but are not limited to:* · Interpret and apply information from drawings, specifications, building codes and received instruction from superintendents · Layout, install, or remove temporary structures and fixtures, including scaffolding, ladders and railings, formwork, and hoardings · Cutting and fastening materials as required, performing layout, selecting materials, performing takeoffs, planning sequences and methods of work and materials to avoid costly mistakes · Working with various tools and equipment, lifting, pulling, or pushing, carrying and manipulating objects up to 50lbs. · Must be able to effectively communicate with other employees and supervisors, including mentoring apprentices and laborers. · Must be able to work in a multi-trade environment · Must have a commitment to safety and be able to adhere to company safety policies · Employ and follow the proper safety procedures as set out in the OH&S and company safety manual *Qualifications:* · Alberta Carpenter Journeyperson, Red Seal is an asset · Minimum 4 years of experience in commercial construction · Valid Class 5 Driver's License and Vehicle · Current and applicable safety training certificates is an asset · Self-motivated, reliable, flexible and proactive with an ability to work in a fast-paced environment · Willingness to work in all weather conditions · Able to organize assigned tasks for completion independently or with a crew · Must display a positive attitude and emotional intelligence · Leadership skills to lead other employees is an asset · Proven written and verbal communication abilities · May be required to complete a criminal record check to participate in some projects Canbian Inc offers competitive wages, benefits, and career advancement opportunities in a growing team.
