Job Summary Dunwald & Fleming Enterprises Ltd. is seeking motivated and dependable Construction Labourers to join our shallow utility crews. This position assists with the installation of underground utility infrastructure including natural gas, telecommunications, power, and street lighting systems throughout Calgary and surrounding areas. We provide training, advancement opportunities, and consistent work for employees who demonstrate reliability, a strong work ethic, and a commitment to safety. *Employees who maintain reliable attendance and work available overtime can earn $60,000 to $75,000+ annually.* Responsibilities * Report to the Foreman and follow verbal and written instructions * Assist operators and utility crews with daily construction activities * Hand expose existing underground utilities * Perform site preparation, cleanup, and material handling duties * Act as a spotter for equipment and maintain safe work zones * Load, unload, move, and organize materials and equipment * Use hand tools and construction equipment as required * Follow all company safety policies, procedures, and safe work practices * Maintain a clean, organized, and professional worksite * Arrive on time and ready to work every day Requirements * Valid Class 5 Driver's Licence * Minimum three years of insurable driving history * Pre-employment Drug and Alcohol Test * Ability to perform physically demanding work outdoors in all weather conditions * Ability to lift and carry construction materials and equipment * Strong work ethic and positive attitude * Reliable attendance and punctuality * Ability to work safely and effectively within a crew environment * Willingness to learn and accept coaching and training * Some out-of-town work may be required Preferred Qualifications Preference will be given to candidates with any of the following: * CSTS-2020 or PCST * WHMIS * Standard First Aid * Ground Disturbance Level II * Confined Space Entry * Experience in: * Shallow utilities * Pipeline construction * HDD operations * Civil construction * HDPE pipe fusion Construction experience is an asset but not required.
