class 1 truck driver

Education: Other trades certificate or diploma. or equivalent experience. Tasks: Plan or adjust routes based on changing conditions, using computer equipment, global positioning systems (GPS) equipment, or other navigation devices, to minimize fuel consumption and carbon emissions. Operate and drive straight or articulated trucks to transport goods and materials. Receive and relay information to central dispatch. Record cargo information, hours of service, distance travelled and fuel consumption. Certificates, licences, memberships, and courses : Class 1/1F/A Licence (semi trailer trucks). Driver's License (Class 1 or A). Documentation knowledge: Accident or incident reports. Driver logbook. Trans-border documentation. Communication systems experience: Trip recorder (on-board computer). Transportation/travel experience: International. Long-haul. Security and safety: Valid passport. Driver's validity licence check. Drug test. Transportation/travel information: Valid driver's licence. Willing to travel cross-border. Willing to travel for extended periods. Willing to travel overnight.
