leisure activities program coordinator

Reporting to the Leisure Services Manager, the Leisure Program Facilitator provides front-line support to patrons by greeting, assisting, and sharing program information. The role includes setting up, taking down, and facilitating scheduled activities, classes, and events. This position plays a key role in delivering high-quality leisure and arts programming through strong customer service and program facilitation. RESPONSIBILITIESPlan ahead to ensure smooth transitions between programs and activitiesFacilitate programs in a structured and timely manner Ensure all materials and spaces are prepared prior to program startProvide accurate and friendly information about leisure services and program schedulesProcess registrations, attendance, and admissions accuratelySupport program delivery through cleaning, setup, and participant engagementFoster an inclusive and welcoming environment for all participantsHandle payments and transactions; prepare basic reports as needed Adhere to all safety and facility/City operating policiesAdhere to time-sensitive schedules and assigned dutiesMaintain attendance records and program logs Sticking to a time sensitive scheduleOther duties as assigned EXPERIENCE Experience in program delivery or facilitationBasic data entry or financial transaction experienceFamiliarity with leisure, recreational, educational, and arts programming is preferredExperience planning and delivering arts-based programs such as visual arts, crafts, or cultural workshopsExperience working in a multi-use facility or community settingFirst Aid/CPR C certification is an assetAcceptable criminal record and vulnerable sector reports ADDITIONAL INFORMATIONJob Status Permanent Part-TimeWage $16.02 - $17.49 (Commensurate with CUPE Local 90 Collective Agreement)Classification Unionized, CUPE Local 90 Location Weyburn , SK Work location On site Salary $ 16.02 HOUR hourly Terms of employment Part time Starts as soon as possible Source SaskJobs #1538780 Various locations Weyburn, SK
