*Job Summary* We are looking for a skilled and reliable Full Time Machinist to join our laboratory team. In this role, you will be responsible for operating and maintaining various machining equipment to produce samples for materials testing (tensile tests, bend tests, charpy impact tests) . The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, mechanically inclined, and eager to contribute to efficient production processes while ensuring safety and precision. *Responsibilities* * Operate manual and CNC machines such as CNC lathe, CNC milling machine, and CNC programming tools to produce precise parts according to technical drawings and specifications. * Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and CAD files using Fusion or similar software. * Set up and calibrate machinery using hand tools, calipers, and other measurement devices to ensure accuracy. * Perform routine maintenance on machines and troubleshoot issues using mechanical knowledge and basic math skills. * Follow lean manufacturing principles to optimize workflow, reduce waste, and improve efficiency. * Assist with assembly, welding, or other fabrication tasks as needed to complete projects. * Use power tools, hand tools, and forklift equipment safely in a manufacturing environment. *Qualifications* * Three of more years working experience as a machinist preferably in a laboratory environment * Familiarity CNC programming languages is highly desirable. * Strong mechanical knowledge combined with the ability to read blueprints and technical drawings. * Proficiency in CAD software such as Autodesk Fusion is a plus. * Basic math skills for measurements, calculations, and quality control purposes. * Ability to operate calipers, welding/cutting equipment, power tools, and hand tools confidently. * Knowledge of safety procedures related to machining, welding/cutting, forklift operation, and general manufacturing practices.
