*Job Opportunity: Recreational Facility Attendant* The Junior Varsity Volleyball Training Centre Ltd. is a six-court sports training facility for volleyball, basketball, and pickleball. We are seeking a dedicated and reliable Facility Attendant to join our team. *Job Description* As a Facility Attendant, you will be responsible for preparing the courts for incoming renter clients, checking customers in at the front entry desk, and maintaining a clean and safe sporting facility. *Responsibilities* * Conduct daily facility checks ensuring the equipment setup, cleanliness, and safety of all recreation and common areas. * Perform daily dry-sweeping of all courts and amenity rooms, replenish TP, soap, and towel dispensers, and other light housekeeping tasks. * Oversee the setup and takedown of equipment for all renter groups, mainly volleyball posts/nets, basketball portable systems, and pickleball nets. * Constantly monitor facility areas and activities to ensure a safe environment is maintained. * Provide general support to all recreation staff. * Provide superior customer service and professionalism to all facility users. * Ensure the facility is secure at the end of the day. *Physical Demands* * Ability to perform the physical requirements of the job including standing for an extended period, walking, lifting, and performing repetitive motion. * Must be able to lift or carry up to 20 pounds frequently, 50 pounds occasionally, and have the strength to push heavy sports equipment using a pallet-jack. *Qualifications* * Availability to work up to 30 hours per week, particularly weekday afternoons from 4:00 PM to 11:30 PM, with occasional Saturday/Sunday shifts from 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM or 4:00 PM to 11:30 PM. Maximum 30 hours weekly. * Reliable transportation, as shifts may vary. * Self-directed with an ability to work under pressure and make quick decisions in a busy environment. * Valid First Aid, CPR/AED, and WHMIS training are assets. * Basic proficiency in Microsoft Office and general computer knowledge. *Job Type:* Part-time We encourage you to apply if you are enthusiastic about providing excellent customer service and maintaining a top-notch sports facility.
