*About the Position* Con-Force is currently seeking an experienced *Mobile Crane Operator* to join our yard operations team in *Delta, British Columbia*. This position is ideal for a safety-focused, skilled operator with *2?5+ years of experience* operating friction cranes and performing heavy lifts. Experience operating *Manitowoc 4100 Series 2 cranes* is highly preferred. The successful candidate will play a key role in the safe handling, movement, and placement of precast concrete structures and other heavy materials throughout the yard and during loading operations. Applicants *must reside in the Lower Mainland* and be legally authorized to work in Canada. *Position Summary* Reporting to the *Crane Supervisor*, the Mobile Crane Operator is responsible for safely operating mobile and friction cranes to lift, move, position, and place precast concrete products and other heavy materials. This position requires excellent planning, precision, communication, and a strong commitment to safety while working in a busy industrial yard environment. The ideal candidate is an experienced heavy-lift operator who is confident performing complex lifts, working closely with rigging crews, and following all company and regulatory safety procedures. *Key Responsibilities* * Safely operate friction and mobile cranes in accordance with company policies and provincial regulations. * Perform heavy lifting, positioning, and placement of precast concrete structures and oversized materials. * Set up cranes for lifting operations, including proper outrigger placement, crane configuration, and lift preparation. * Complete tandem lifts, pick-and-carry operations, and critical lifts involving heavy precast concrete segments. * Interpret load charts, lift plans, and technical documentation to determine safe lifting capacities and configurations. * Select and inspect appropriate rigging equipment for lifts ranging from routine to highly complex. * Work closely with riggers and signal persons to ensure safe and efficient lifting operations. * Conduct pre-operational inspections and complete required equipment documentation. * Perform routine maintenance, including cleaning, lubrication, and preventative maintenance inspections. * Identify mechanical issues and report equipment deficiencies promptly. * Maintain a clean and organized work area while contributing to a safe work environment. * Follow all WorkSafeBC regulations, company safety standards, and safe work procedures. *Qualifications* * Journeyperson Mobile Crane Operator Certification. * Minimum *2 years* of crane operating experience (2?5+ years preferred). * Experience operating *Manitowoc 4100 Series 2* cranes is considered a strong asset. * Extensive friction crane experience is strongly preferred. * Heavy lift experience involving large precast concrete or structural components. * Strong understanding of crane operations, load dynamics, rigging practices, and safe lifting procedures. * Ability to read and interpret load charts, engineered lift plans, and technical documents. * Experience performing tandem lifts and critical lift operations. * Excellent communication and teamwork skills. * Strong commitment to workplace safety and hazard awareness. * Valid Class 5 driver's license preferred * CSTS 2020 and WHMIS 2015 certifications. * Previous industrial, heavy civil, marine, or precast construction experience is considered an asset. *What We Offer* * Competitive hourly wage (based on experience). * Extended health, dental, and vision benefits. * Opportunities for overtime. * Stable, full-time employment with a growing company. * Modern equipment and a strong safety culture. * Opportunities for ongoing training and career development. *Schedule* * Full-time position. * Current schedule is *5?6 days per week*. * *8?10-hour shifts*, with overtime as required. * Based at our Delta, BC yard.
