Construction LabourerJob Overview Weiland Construction is seeking a *reliable and hardworking Construction Labourer* to join our crew in the Nelson, BC area. This is a *physically demanding, hands-on position* on active residential construction sites. Daily work includes manual labour, lifting and carrying construction materials, digging, site cleanup, moving equipment and materials, and assisting the construction crew as required. Previous construction experience is preferred. We are looking for someone who is dependable, works well with others, follows direction, and is comfortable working at the pace of an active construction site. Responsibilities * Perform general construction labour * Lift, carry, load, unload and move construction materials and equipment * Dig, shovel and assist with site preparation * Maintain clean and organized work areas * Set up and put away tools, equipment and materials * Assist carpenters and other crew members with construction tasks * Safely use common hand and power tools * Follow site supervisor instructions and established safety procedures * Work outdoors in varying weather conditions Qualifications * Previous construction or general labour experience preferred * Physically capable of performing demanding manual work throughout the day * Able to safely lift and carry construction materials * Comfortable with repetitive lifting, carrying, bending, digging and working on your feet * Familiarity with common hand and power tools * Reliable and punctual * Able to listen to and follow directions * Able to work efficiently as part of a construction crew * Strong work ethic and attention to safety * Valid driver's licence and reliable transportation are an asset About Weiland Construction Weiland Construction is a *second-generation, full-service construction company based in Nelson, BC*, specializing in custom homes and residential construction throughout the Kootenays.
