This is a great opportunity that can provide flexibility, valuable work experience, and a chance to work with a tenured team._ _Job Title: Laundry Attendant_ _Property: Millcroft Inn & Spa_ _Location: 55 John St, Alton, ON L7K 0C4_ _This posting is for an __*existing vacancy*_ _within Lais Hotel Properties Limited. _ *Position Summary*: To ensure that laundry is cleaned and maintained in a manner consistent with a superior quality hotel. *Duties and Responsibilities:* * *Providing personalized and exceptional guest service at every given opportunity* * Retrieve, sort and load soiled laundry into washing machines * Load clean laundry into the dryers * Sort and folds laundry when dry * Ensure items to be ironed are put into automatic presser machine (Niagara properties only) * Count, sort and check laundry items to ensure proper inventory of all items * Inspect all items for damage, thinning, stains, wrinkles and discards * Logging information for count, damage, thinning, stains, wrinkles and discarded items (Niagara properties only) * Monitors all machines and reports any machine breakdowns to the Maintenance department * Having a thorough knowledge of Lais Hotel Properties Limited products and services * Actively seeking ways to meet guests? product or service needs * All other duties as assigned *Professional Requirements:* * WHMIS training an asset * Previous up-selling and/or sales experience is considered an asset *Personal Attributes:* * Ability to work flexible shifts including days, evenings, weekends and holidays * Work well with minimal to no supervision * Ethical and honest *Physical Requirements:* * Repetitive lifting, bending, pushing, pulling _*Questions, quoting the job title and location, may be directed to hr@vintage-hotels.com *_ _Lais Hotel Properties Limited is committed to fostering a diverse, inclusive, and accessible workplace where all individuals are valued and respected.
