Duties: Collate purchase orders and purchase requisitions to order materials, goods and supplies. Send purchase orders to the suppliers. Compare and evaluate offers from suppliers Interact with the suppliers on a day to day basis. Compare product deliveries with issued purchase orders and contact vendors when there are discrepancies Track orders and ensure timely delivery Monitor stock levels and place orders as needed Deal with non-supplied, under orders, over orders and damaged goods. Ensure that any invoices are sent to accounts for payment. Produce and maintain reports. Manage any procurement activities including RFP?s (Request for Proposals). Maintain strong working relationships with key suppliers to ensure merchandise is high quality and delivered on time. Maintain updated records of purchased products, delivery information and invoices Develop an active process for measuring supply inventory and determining purchasing needs based on quarterly and annual numbers Research potential vendors Review quality of purchased products Enter order details (e.g. vendors, quantities, prices) into internal databases You will review prices and quality and ensure optimal stock levels. Coordinate with warehouse staff to ensure proper storage Requirements: - Bachelor's or college degree in supply chain management, business administration, or a related field (preferred) - Experience as a purchaser or in a similar procurement role - Strong negotiation skills and ability to build relationships with suppliers - Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities - Proficient in using procurement software and systems - Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously - Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Note: This job description is not intended to be all-inclusive.
