Socomec North America (NAM) is Socomec?s organization overseeing all operations in North America. *About This Role* The HSE Specialist will be responsible for supporting Health, Safety and Environmental practices (HSE) program for the 3 facilities in Brampton, ensuring compliance with Provincial and Federal regulations. This role ensures compliance with local regulations while aligning with global safety and environmental standards. The HSE Specialist will play a critical role in promoting a culture of safety, sustainability, and environmental responsibility throughout the facility. *Key Responsibilities And Accountabilities* Health & Safety Program Management: * Maintain comprehensive safety policies, procedures, and best practices aligned with provincial legislation and global corporate safety standards. * Maintain regular risk assessments, site audits, and hazard identification to ensure a safe working environment. * Maintain and Coordinate emergency preparedness plans, including fire drills, evacuation procedures, and first-aid training. *Compliance And Reporting* * Ensure compliance with the State Occupational Health and Safety Act (OHSA) and other applicable regulations. * Maintain accurate safety records, track safety performance metrics, and prepare periodic reports for HSE Manager. *Environmental Management* * Maintain environmental policies and programs to ensure compliance with environmental regulations, including waste management, emissions control, and energy efficiency. * Support HSE Manager on environmental impact metrics, such as carbon footprint, water usage, and hazardous materials management. * Ensure compliance with environmental laws and standards, such as the Environmental Protection Act (EPA). * Act as the primary point of contact for HSE-related inquiries, fostering a culture of safety and environmental responsibility among all staff. * Deliver training programs on workplace safety, environmental regulations, and sustainability practices. * Develop and deliver engaging HSE training programs for employees, contractors, and visitors. * Facilitate onboarding. * Collaborate on monthly JHSC meetings, inspections, and audits. *Incident Management And Prevention* * Investigate accidents, incidents, and near-misses to identify root causes and recommend corrective actions. * Maintain detailed records of all safety and environmental incidents, ensuring proper reporting and follow-up actions. *Collaboration And Reporting* * Provide regular updates and reports on safety and environmental performance, initiatives, and compliance to HSE Manager. * Act as a key liaison between facilities ensuring smooth communication and consistency. *Essential Qualifications, Experience, And Skills* * Bachelor's degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental Science, or related field. * JHSC certificate is an asset. * First Aid certificate is an asset. * Knowledge of Safety Management software and tools is an asset. * Minimum 2 years of experience in health, safety, and environmental management, preferably in a Industrial, Manufacturing environment. * Proven experience with the Occupational Health and Safety Act and environmental regulations. * Experience with sustainability initiatives and corporate environmental responsibility programs. * Strong knowledge of risk assessment, incident investigation, and environmental compliance. * Proficiency in data analysis and HSE reporting tools. * Ability to manage multiple priorities and locations effectively. * Proactive problem-solving and decision-making skills. * High attention to detail and organizational skills. * Strong interpersonal and cultural sensitivity skills to navigate global collaboration. * Excellent communication and leadership skills with the ability to influence at all levels of the organization. * Strategic t Location Brampton , ON Work location On site Salary $ 75,000 to $ 85,000 YEAR annually Terms of employment Full time Starts as soon as possible vacancies 1 vacancy Source indeed.com #10239376407 Various locations Brampton, ON
