This is a full-time, permanent position working on commercial HVAC projects throughout Edmonton and North Central Alberta. Every person at Total plays a part in earning that trust. *Our Core Values* *Collaboration | Leadership | Excellence | Accountability & Responsibility | Relationships* These values guide how we work, how we treat each other, how we serve our customers and how we make decisions. *Responsibilities* * Install commercial heating, ventilation and air conditioning systems * Install HVAC equipment, components, ducting and related mechanical systems * Test installed HVAC systems and equipment to ensure proper operation * Read and interpret blueprints, specifications and technical drawings * Troubleshoot and resolve HVAC system and installation issues * Complete work in accordance with applicable codes, regulations, project specifications and Total standards * Identify deficiencies, conflicts and potential project issues and communicate them proactively * Follow and reinforce company safety procedures and applicable safety regulations * Maintain accurate job and project documentation * Coordinate effectively with supervisors, project managers, general contractors and other trades * Maintain company tools, equipment and work areas * Provide guidance and technical support to apprentices when required * Help develop apprentices through instruction, feedback and strong field practices * Represent Total Plumbing & Heating professionally on every job site * Perform other related duties as required to meet the ongoing needs of the organization *Skills & Qualifications* * Journeyman HVAC/Refrigeration Mechanic certification * Commercial HVAC experience * Strong mechanical and technical knowledge * Strong knowledge of commercial HVAC systems and components * Ability to read and interpret blueprints, specifications and technical drawings * Proficient with applicable hand and power tools * Knowledge of applicable building codes, regulations and industry standards * Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving capabilities * Ability to independently plan and execute assigned work * Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship * Ability to identify and communicate project issues before they impact the work * Ability to provide direction and support to apprentices * Strong communication and teamwork skills * Commitment to safe work practices * Valid driver's licence *What Total Offers* * Competitive Journeyman compensation based on experience and qualifications * Dental care * Life insurance * Opportunities for continued technical and professional development * Opportunities for advancement and increased responsibility * Exposure to a variety of commercial HVAC projects and systems * Support from an established project management, operations and leadership team * Opportunities to help develop the next generation Location Edmonton , AB Work location On site Salary $ 40.00 to $ 55.00 HOUR hourly Terms of employment Full time Starts as soon as possible vacancies 1 vacancy Source indeed.com #10239392632 Various locations Edmonton, AB
