The RoleMad Barn is seeking an experienced Director of QA and Compliance to lead quality assurance, regulatory compliance, and quality systems across our manufacturing operations. This is a senior, hands-on leadership role with a strong focus on systems implementation and continuous improvement. The successful candidate will be responsible for strengthening and managing the quality framework across a mid-sized manufacturing facility, ensuring regulatory requirements are translated into practical, effective processes that are consistently followed. We are looking for an experienced quality leader who has successfully implemented and managed quality systems in a regulated manufacturing environment and who is comfortable working closely with both plant leadership and the executive team. The ideal candidate combines deep regulatory and technical knowledge with strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills. They will be confident establishing clear standards, driving accountability, and building a strong culture of quality across the organization. ResponsibilitiesEnsure compliance with Health Canada VHP requirements and applicable CFIA regulations for animal feeds and supplementsLead the implementation, management, and continuous improvement of quality systems across manufacturing operationsDevelop and oversee QMS, including non-conformances, document control, change control, label control, manufacturing and validation processesOversee incoming materials qualification, sampling, testing, approval, and release requirementsManage supplier qualification, supplier quality documentation, and ongoing supplier performanceOversee product complaint investigations, trending, escalation, and corrective actionsEstablish and maintain finished product review, release, hold, rejection, and disposition proceduresLead regulatory review of product labels, claims, ingredients, packaging, and related documentation, with a strong emphasis on label complianceSupport the implementation and maintenance of FeedAssure, HACCP, and other applicable quality or feed safety programsEstablish quality metrics and reporting for senior leadership, including CAPAs, complaints, deviations, audit findings, and regulatory risksPartner with manufacturing, operations, procurement, product development, and other teams to embed quality requirements into day-to-day processesBuild a strong culture of quality, accountability, and adherence to established procedures across the organizationAdvise executive leadership on regulatory requirements, compliance risks, quality priorities, and required corrective actions Qualifications8+ years of progressive experience in quality assurance, regulatory compliance, or quality systems within a regulated manufacturing environmentExpert knowledge of Canadian Veterinary Health Product requirements and strong knowledge of applicable CFIA regulationsDemonstrated experience with systems development and implementationSignificant experience with regulatory label and claims reviewAnimal feed, animal supplement, veterinary health product, nutraceutical, food, or related manufacturing experience strongly preferredExperience implementing or maintaining FeedAssure and/or HACCP programs is considered a strong assetDemonstrated ability to tr Location Kitchener , ON Work location On site Salary $ 90,000 YEAR annually Terms of employment Permanent employment Full time Starts as soon as possible vacancies 1 vacancy Source AgCareers.com #1039866 Various locations Kitchener, ON
