*Job Title:* Barista *Job Type:* Part Time *Reports To:* Manager *Compensation: *$19/hour + tips _*\*\*\*Applicants must be 19 years of age or older\*\*\**_ *Job Description:* We are seeking an enthusiastic, customer-focused Part-Time Barista to join our team. As a Barista at The Bean & Co, you?ll be the face of our business, ensuring that each customer has a positive experience. You?ll create high-quality beverages, maintain a clean and welcoming environment, and contribute to the smooth operation of our café. *Key Responsibilities:* * Prepare and serve a variety of coffee, espresso drinks, and teas according to our menu and customer preferences. * Provide exceptional customer service by greeting customers warmly, answering questions, and assisting with their orders. * Maintain a clean and organized work area, including the coffee station, dining area, and equipment. * Operate coffee-making machines, grinders, blenders, and other café equipment with care and attention to safety standards. * Ensure inventory is stocked and restock supplies as needed. * Handle cash register transactions, process payments, and give correct change. * Follow health and safety guidelines to ensure food and beverage quality and cleanliness. * Assist with opening and closing duties, including cleaning and organizing the café for the next shift. * Support team members and contribute to a positive, collaborative work environment. *Ideal candidate:* * Experience working in a similar role an asset * Can work an open schedule including evenings, weekends & holidays * Leads with integrity and professionalism towards customers, and team members * Treats themselves and others with respect. * Self-motivated and able to work in a busy and fast paced work setting. * Desire to learn and grow * Comfortable working at a pace consistent with changing business volume and demands * Ability to learn quickly * Strong interpersonal skills * Ability to work as part of a team * Ability to build relationships *Qualifications:* * Previous barista or customer service experience is a plus but not required; training will be provided. * A passion for coffee and a desire to learn about different brewing methods. * Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a customer-first attitude. * Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment. * Attention to detail and a commitment to quality. * Flexibility to work mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed. *Perks:* * Discounted food and beverages. * Flexible hours to accommodate school or other commitments. * Opportunities for growth within the company. * A fun and friendly work environment!
