Position #: 9011056 Expected Start Date: Union: HSAS Facility: St. Pauls Hospital City/Town: Saskatoon Department: Emergency Type: Full-time regular FTE: 1 Shift Information: Evenings Number of Hours per Rotation: 28 shifts of 8 hours per 6 weeks Relief: No Float: No Hours of Work: Standard Hours Salary or Pay Band: Pay Band Physician Assistant Degree $51.102 to $62.5 Travel Required: No Human Resources Exemption: No Job Description: Physician Assistants (PAs) are academically and clinically educated medical generalists who practice medicine within a formalized relationship with a Physician. Regulated by the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Saskatchewan (CPSS), PAs collect and interpret medical information, make appropriate clinical decisions, and carry out diagnostic and therapeutic interventions within a formalized Physician/PA relationship agreement approved by the CPSS. Experience- Clinical experience working as a PA in a related clinical field, is an assetEducation- Completion of an accredited PA degree program recognized by PACCCLicenses- Physician Assistant - Certified (PA-C) through the NCCPA.- Membership and Licensure in good standing with the CPSS as a PA; or- Canadian Certified Physician Assistant (CCPA) through PACCC- Eligible for registration with CPSS (for applicants outside of Saskatchewan).- (May be asked to provide proof of meeting maintenance of certification)Memberships- Canadian Association of Physician AssistantsCompetencies- Advanced - Communication skills- Intermediate - Computer skills- Advanced - Interpersonal skills- Intermediate - Mobilizes people, inspires and leads by example- Advanced - Analytical skills- Advanced - Technical skillsKnowledge and Abilities- Committed to delivering on patient and family centred care- Ability to work independently- Ability to work as a ...For more information on this job, please visit the employer's website.
