Description The Warehouse Associate?s primary responsibility is to perform as an order or stock picker and prepare orders accurately and efficiently. Using warehouse equipment such as forklifts and electric pallet jacks, the role involves selecting, packing, and staging products for customer pickup or shipment. In addition, the Warehouse Associate is responsible for gathering items for shipping, completing required documentation, and supporting inventory movement throughout the warehouse. Duties may vary slightly depending on the assigned product category or group. As a key contributor to daily operations, the Warehouse Associate plays an integral role in maintaining an efficient and effective warehouse environment that supports overall sales and customer satisfaction. Key Responsibilities ? Accurately gathering products and items to fulfill an order for customer ? Complete all necessary paperwork accurately within the required timeframe ? Cleaning and tidying as required to maintain a safe work environment ? Assist with inventory cycle counts to ensure proper inventory numbers ? Rotating perishable inventory based on dating ? Loading and unloading of inventory, stock, and supplies as required ? Putting away incoming inventory into specified areas ? Take part in company initiatives and meetings as required ? Perform other duties as assigned. Skills, Knowledge and Expertise This role requires a candidate who is highly efficient, safety focused, and precise in picking and preparing orders. The Warehouse Associate must demonstrate strong attention to detail, proactive problem solving abilities, and the capacity to perform effectively in a fast paced environment. Key skills and competencies for this role include: ? Ability to operate warehouse equipment safely while minimizing risk to employees, equipment, and product ? Strong reading and comprehension skills with a high degree of accuracy ? Proficiency in using handheld devices, scanners, and other warehouse technology ? Effective time management and organizational skills ? Ability to work independently with minimal supervision ? Strong interpersonal skills to collaborate within a team environment ? Clear and effective communication skills to report concerns, issues, or improvement ideas ? Ability to prioritize tasks to meet operational deadlines ? Basic mathematical skills for order accuracy and inventory handling Experience Requirements: ? Proven experience in warehouse operations ? Previous experience in a similar role?such as shipping and receiving, forklift operation, or general warehouse work?is an asset ?
