Our team integrates new technology to create a safer, more efficient worksite for both employees and customers. *Position Overview* We are seeking a knowledgeable and safety-focused Arborist to join our growing team. The ideal candidate has hands-on experience in climbing, pruning, removals and plant health care, and demonstrates a genuine passion for caring for Vancouver Island?s diverse forest ecosystems. This role involves carrying out high-quality arboricultural work while collaborating with the crew to ensure safe and efficient job completion. *Key Responsibilities* * Perform tree pruning and removals using proper arboricultural techniques * Conduct basic tree risk assessments and support the preparation of reports * Identify tree pests, diseases and recommend appropriate treatments * Operate and maintain chainsaws, chippers, aerial lifts and related equipment * Assist with rigging, lowering and technical removals as needed * Communicate professionally with clients when required * Participate in pre-job safety briefings and site-specific risk assessments * Maintain accurate records of work completed and equipment use * Follow all safety standards, company procedures and WorkSafeBC regulations *Requirements* * OFA Level 1 First Aid or higher * Minimum 2 years of Arboriculture/ Climbing field experience * Valid Class 5 BC Driver?s License with clean driving record * Strong knowledge of BC tree species * Ability to work at heights and in varied weather conditions * Commitment to safe work practices and continued skill development *Assets (Preferred but Not Required)* * ISA Certified Arborist * ISA TRAQ * Falling and Bucking endorsement * ITA Arborist Certification or apprenticeship * Experience with plant health care programs *What We Offer* * Competitive wage based on experience and certifications * Opportunities for training, certification support and career development * A positive, safety-first work environment * Work across some of the most beautiful natural settings on Vancouver Island * Access to modern equipment and new technology that improves safety and efficiency Work Location: In person Pay: $25.00-$42.00 per hour Experience: * Arborist Climbing: 1 year (required) Licence/Certification: * Class 5 Driver's License (required) * First Aid Certification (preferred) Work Location: In person Location Campbell River , BC Work location On site Salary $ 25.00 to $ 42.00 HOUR hourly Terms of employment Part time Starts as soon as possible vacancies 1 vacancy Source indeed.com #10238760671 Various locations Campbell River, BC
