Education: No degree, certificate or diploma. Work site environment: Beef cattle ranching and farming, including feedlots. Livestock combination farming. Outdoors. Dusty. Noisy. Odours. Wet/damp. Livestock. All weather conditions. Dirty. Tasks: Clear and collect brush and debris from fields, pens and other work areas. Clear fields of wood and stones. Develop specific plans to prioritize. Disinfect pens, barns or poultry houses. Monitor the calving process. Monitoring animal health. Feed and tend animals. Ensure farm safety and bio-security procedures are followed. Maintain livestock performance records. Maintain quality control and production records. Clean stables, barns, barnyards and pens. Maintain work records and logs. Perform general farm duties. Write daily basic progress reports. Set and monitor water lines, air flow and temperature in barns, pens and chicken coops. Transportation/travel information: Public transportation is not available. Work conditions and physical capabilities: Ability to work independently. Fast-paced environment. Work under pressure. Physically demanding. Repetitive tasks. Attention to detail. Combination of sitting, standing, walking. Standing for extended periods. Walking. Bending, crouching, kneeling. Personal suitability: Organized. Team player. Efficient interpersonal skills. Reliability. Quick learner. Screening questions: Are you available to start on the date listed in the job posting?. Experience: 2 years to less than 3 years.
