The Butchart Gardens is looking for individuals to fill the following positions: *DEPARTMENT*: THE SEED AND GIFT STORE *POSITIONS*: SALES ASSOCIATE The Butchart Gardens is a pre-eminent display garden covering 55 acres of a 130-acre estate and are host to over 1 million visitors each year from around the world. The face of our retail operations, the Seed & Gift Store staff are friendly and engaging. We welcome people with all levels of sales experience and provide ongoing training in this fun, fast-paced environment. With visitors from around the world, multilingual skills are an asset. This diverse front-line department is responsible for delivering exceptional service to the visitors and staff of The Butchart Gardens. *You will be responsible for the following activities:* Ø assisting visitors with their purchase decisions Ø promoting sales using the Butchart sales approach Ø keeping up to date on store merchandise Ø providing input into store/merchandise layout/display/presentation to strengthen visitor service quality Ø operating a point of sale to efficiently process transactions Ø wrapping visitor?s purchases to keep them safe from damage Ø keeping the store, cash registers and surrounding areas stocked and clean *Please note the following job requirements:* Ø communicating in an energetic, polite and respectful manner Ø adhering to established appearance policies Ø light to moderate bending, lifting and reaching Ø standing and walking, including up and down stairs for long periods of time Ø working unsupervised ? entrusted with completing tasks as directed This is a seasonal position starting in August 2026, offering 34 hrs/week through to the end of September and 18-25 hours/week through to the end of October 2026 with a possible return for our Christmas season in December. This position includes shift work, weekend and evenings with wages starting at $20.70 an hour.
