*About Us* Matrix Mechanical Group is a growing mechanical services company in Saint John, NB, specializing in HVAC, plumbing, and gas work - residential and commercial. We're building something here, and we need skilled tradespeople to build it with us. *The Role* We're looking for a licensed G1 Gas Technician to join our team. You'll be handling gas installations, service, and maintenance across residential and light commercial properties in the Greater Saint John area. This is hands-on work with a company that values quality craftsmanship, safe installations, and treating customers right. You'll have a fully stocked service vehicle, a solid support team behind you, and the freedom to do your best work. *What You'll Do* *Install & Commission* * Install, commission, and start up gas-fired equipment - furnaces, boilers, water heaters, and unit heaters * Run gas piping (black iron, CSST) and verify sizing and pressure testing * Complete gas permit applications and coordinate inspections *Service & Diagnose* * Troubleshoot and repair gas appliances - diagnose ignition, venting, and control issues * Perform combustion analysis and gas leak detection * Complete annual maintenance and safety inspections on gas equipment *Keep It Tight* * Document all work clearly - job notes, photos, and compliance records * Maintain your vehicle and tool inventory * Communicate with dispatch and customers professionally *What We're Looking For* * Valid G1 Gas Technician license (New Brunswick or interprovincial) * Experience installing and servicing gas-fired heating equipment * Comfortable working independently and managing your own schedule * Strong troubleshooting skills and attention to detail * Knowledge of CSA B149.1 and local gas codes * Valid driver's license with a clean driving record * Professional attitude and strong customer communication * HVAC or plumbing experience is an asset but not required *What We Offer* * *$30 - $40/hour*, based on experience and licensing * *Health and dental* benefits * *RRSP* contribution * *3 weeks paid vacation* * *Company service vehicle* - fully stocked * *Tool and boot allowance* * *Cell phone allowance* * *Consistent schedule* - Monday to Friday with predictable hours * *Ongoing training* - manufacturer certifications and professional development * *Supportive team* - you'll work alongside people who genuinely have your back Job Types: Full-time, Permanent Pay: $40.00-$45.00 per hour Benefits: * Dental care * Extended health care * Paid time off * RRSP match Work Location: In person Location Saint John , NB Work location On site Salary $ 40.00 to $ 45.00 HOUR hourly Terms of employment Permanent employment Full time Starts as soon as possible vacancies 1 vacancy Source indeed.com #10223927273 Various locations Saint John, NB
