Specific Accountabilities Reporting to the Executive Director, the Specialist is specifically accountable for: Core Research Activities Network with community and research organizations on local, provincial, and national levels to investigate and collaborate on issues of mutual benefit. Represent the Prevention Institute on interagency committees dealing with prevention initiatives on a provincial or national level, as required. Provide support for the operationalization, implementation, and reporting of strategic plan activities. Review of Research and Evidence Conduct research activities, such as completing evidence summaries, literature reviews, and environmental scans. Review current evidence in program areas (i.e., FASD Prevention) and ensure up-to-date best evidence and promising practices are reflected in the program, trainings, and resources. Collaborate with Institute staff and external stakeholders to ensure emerging and persistent needs related to child health in Saskatchewan are identified and researched. Program and Project Evaluation Conduct the completion of evaluation activities, such as needs assessments, surveys, interviews, and focus testing. Knowledge Translation and Exchange Support consultation with diverse stakeholders to identify educational, resource, and training needs. Support and promote the involvement of external experts and target audience members in the review of resources and other materials. Participate in the quality assurance process to ensure research and evidence is appropriately translated and presented to the target audience. Contribute to the development and submission of funding proposals. Bring forward new trends and areas of focus that fit within the Institutes mandate.
