Ecoland Inc. is hiring one experienced Concrete Finisher for permanent, full-time employment. The successful candidate will work on site at our Caledon location and at various project locations, including Caledon, Brampton, Oakville, Kitchener, Cambridge and Brantford. *Responsibilities* * Check formwork, granular base and steel reinforcement materials and direct the placement of concrete into forms or onto surfaces according to grade. * Fill hollows and remove spots from freshly poured concrete. * Operate power vibrators to compact concrete. * Level concrete surfaces according to grade and depth specifications. * Finish concrete surfaces using hand and power tools. * Install anchor bolts, steel plates, door sills and related fixtures. * Apply hardening and sealing compounds to cure concrete surfaces. * Waterproof, damp-proof and restore concrete surfaces. * Repair, resurface and replace worn or damaged sections of concrete structures. * Spread, compact, level and smooth concrete using rakes, shovels, trowels, screeds and floats. *Requirements* * Two years to less than three years of related concrete-finishing experience. * No degree, certificate or diploma required. * Ability to safely operate hand and power concrete-finishing tools. * Ability to perform physically demanding outdoor work. * Ability to bend, kneel, handle materials and stand for extended periods. * Ability to understand drawings, grades and specifications. * English language required. *Compensation and schedule* * $43.58 per hour. * 40 hours per week. * Permanent, full-time position. * Day, weekend and overtime work available. * Overtime and vacation pay provided in accordance with Ontario law. *How to apply* Apply through Indeed or email your résumé to info@ecolandinc.ca.
