They are currently seeking a mechanically inclined Feedlot Maintenance Technician to join their team. This hands-on position is ideal for someone who enjoys troubleshooting, working with heavy equipment, and taking ownership of preventative maintenance and repairs that keep daily operations running smoothly. Working alongside an experienced team, you’ll play an important role in maintaining feedlot equipment, vehicles, and facilities while contributing to the overall success of the operation. Duties and Responsibilities: The key job functions are:Perform preventative maintenance on feedlot equipment and machineryComplete routine servicing, including oil changes, greasing, filter replacements, and fluid checksDiagnose and identify mechanical issues on equipment and report repair requirementsChange and repair tires on various pieces of equipmentOperate heavy equipment including loaders, skid steers, and tractors safely and efficientlyAssist with general repairs and maintenance of feedlot facilities and infrastructureInspect equipment to ensure safe operation and identify potential maintenance concerns before they become larger issuesSupport welding and fabrication projects as required (asset)Maintain a clean, organized, and safe shop and work environmentAssist with general labour duties as needed to support the operation Qualifications: Ability to work fully onsiteValid Class 5 driver’s license with reliable transportationComfortable working outdoors in all weather conditionsComfortable working at heights when requiredMechanically inclined with the ability to safely use hand and power toolsWillingness to work extended hours during busy seasons Experience:Minimum one year of experience performing mechanical maintenance, equipment servicing, agricultural equipment repair, heavy equipment maintenance, or a similar hands-on roleExperience operating agricultural or heavy equipment is considered a strong assetWelding and fabrication experience is an asset Skills:Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting abilitiesA proactive approach to preventative maintenance and equipment careAbility to work independently while collaborating effectively with the teamStrong attention to detail and commitment to workplace safetyDependable, hardworking, and self-motivatedAbility to prioritize tasks and adapt in a fast-paced environmentWillingness to learn and continuously develop new skills Base Salary: $25+ per hourCompensation based on experienceFull benefits package provided after successful completion of the 3-month probationary period Work Hours:Monday to Friday7:00am – 5:00pmSome weekend work required Additional Notes:This opportunity does not include relocation.
