*Construction Estimator ? Residential Construction* Join our growing team and play an important role in delivering high-quality custom residential projects throughout the Okanagan. We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Construction Estimator who is experienced in residential construction and enjoys working in a collaborative environment. *Key Responsibilities* * Review plans, drawings, specifications, and other project information to develop detailed and reliable construction estimates. * Request, review, and assess quotes from subcontractors, suppliers, and other vendors to establish competitive project pricing. * Complete detailed quantity take-offs and calculate anticipated material, labour, and equipment costs. * Maintain estimating tools, pricing databases, cost histories, and other records used to support accurate budgeting. * Work closely with Project Managers to review project scope and confirm that estimated costs and budgets are aligned with project requirements. * Review potential value engineering options and provide recommendations that improve cost efficiency while maintaining project standards. * Explore opportunities to reduce project costs while protecting quality, schedule, and overall performance. * Support procurement, trade selection, subcontractor negotiations, and related purchasing activities when required. * Monitor construction industry trends and market fluctuations that may affect material costs, labour rates, and overall project pricing. *Qualifications & Experience* * At least 3 years of experience in construction estimating; residential construction experience is considered an asset. * Solid understanding of residential construction practices, building materials, and estimating methodologies. * Strong numerical ability combined with sound analytical and problem-solving skills. * Highly detail-oriented with the ability to complete precise estimates within established deadlines. * Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to establish and maintain effective relationships with suppliers, subcontractors, and trade partners. * Well-organized, self-directed, and capable of managing multiple estimates and priorities while contributing effectively to a collaborative project team.
