*About the Position* OFGO STUDIO is seeking an experienced hands-on Manufacturing Engineer. The Manufacturing Engineer will design, implement, and improve manufacturing processes and systems while supporting equipment projects, production planning, quality, reliability, safety, and continuous improvement. This position will work closely with Production, Maintenance, Quality, IT, Purchasing, and external suppliers and contractors. Responsibilities * Develop and improve manufacturing processes, workflows, plant layouts, tooling, routings, Bills of Materials, and production standards. * Support production load planning, capacity analysis, rush-order prioritization, and scheduling improvements. * Conduct time studies and process reviews to identify opportunities to improve productivity, quality, material flow, and labour utilization. * Evaluate, select, install, commission, and improve manufacturing machinery, automation, and supporting equipment. * Work with Maintenance to improve machine performance, reliability, spare-parts availability, and production continuity. * Support troubleshooting and root-cause analysis for equipment, process, and quality problems. * Evaluate potential projects, calculate expected return on investment, develop budget estimates, and present recommendations to management. * Manage manufacturing and capital projects from initial evaluation through installation and implementation. * Coordinate suppliers, contractors, equipment manufacturers, and internal departments to ensure project objectives are achieved. * Identify and implement cost-reduction, waste-reduction, energy-efficiency, and process-improvement opportunities. * Work with Quality to improve process controls, reduce defects, and implement error-proofing solutions. * Create and maintain standard operating procedures, work instructions, equipment documentation, and training materials. * Train and support production and maintenance employees on new equipment, processes, and standards. * Lead Lean manufacturing and continuous-improvement initiatives, including 5S, visual management, standard work, and workplace organization. *Qualifications* * Bachelor?s degree or advanced diploma in Manufacturing Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Mechatronics, or a related technical field. * Minimum of five years of relevant experience in a manufacturing environment. * Hands-on experience with manufacturing machinery and equipment projects * Strong knowledge of manufacturing processes, production flow, tooling, materials, and equipment. * Experience managing technical or capital projects from evaluation through implementation. * Ability to prepare project budgets, cost comparisons, and return-on-investment analyses. * Experience conducting time studies, process analysis, root-cause analysis, and continuous-improvement activities. * Experience preparing plant layouts, standard operating procedures, and technical documentation. * Proficiency with computer-aided design or computer-aided manufacturing software is an asset. * Previous experience in the furniture or a related industry is a strong asset. * Excellent problem-solving, analytical, project-management, communication, and teamwork skills. * Comfortable spending significant time on the production floor and working directly with employees, machinery, suppliers, and contractors.
