Front Desk Agent / Relief Night Auditor *Comfort Inn & Suites Calgary South* Calgary, AB *Job Type:* Full-Time / Part-Time *Schedule:* Evening, weekend and occasional overnight shifts Position Overview Comfort Inn & Suites Calgary South is looking for a friendly, outgoing, dependable Front Desk Agent / Relief Night Auditor to join our team. We are looking for someone who genuinely enjoys working with people, provides excellent customer service, and works well as part of a team. The successful candidate will primarily work Front Desk shifts but must also be available to provide relief coverage for overnight Night Audit shifts as required. Hotel experience is an asset, but we are willing to train the right candidate who demonstrates a positive attitude, reliability, and strong customer service skills. Responsibilities * Welcome guests in a friendly, professional and courteous manner * Complete guest check-ins and check-outs accurately and efficiently * Answer telephone calls and respond to guest inquiries * Process reservations, cancellations and reservation changes * Process payments and maintain accurate guest accounts * Respond to guest requests and concerns in a professional manner * Provide guests with information about the hotel and surrounding area * Communicate effectively with housekeeping, maintenance and other departments * Maintain a clean, organized and professional Front Desk area * Complete shift reports and other Front Desk administrative duties * Follow hotel policies, procedures and guest service standards * Assist other team members when required Relief Night Auditor Responsibilities When scheduled for Night Audit coverage, responsibilities will also include: * Provide Front Desk coverage during the overnight shift * Complete late check-ins and early check-outs * Respond to overnight guest requests and concerns * Complete the hotel's daily Night Audit procedures * Review guest accounts, transactions and payments for accuracy * Complete required reports and prepare information for the following day's operations * Maintain the safety and security of the hotel during overnight hours * Communicate any incidents or outstanding issues to the morning Front Desk team and management Qualifications * Friendly, outgoing and guest-focused personality * Excellent communication and interpersonal skills * Strong customer service skills * Dependable, punctual and responsible * Strong attention to detail * Comfortable working independently during overnight shifts * Able to multitask and remain calm in a fast-paced environment * Strong problem-solving abilities * Comfortable using computers and learning hotel reservation systems * Must be a team player and willing to assist coworkers when needed * Previous hotel Front Desk or Night Audit experience is preferred but not required Availability Requirements Candidates must have flexible availability and be able to work: * *Evening shifts* * *Weekends* * *Holidays as required* * *Overnight Night Audit shifts* Availability for these shifts is an important requirement of the position.
