*Job Summary* We are seeking a skilled Excavator Operator to join our team in the construction industry. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience operating heavy machinery, particularly excavators, and will be responsible for performing various tasks related to excavation and site preparation. This role requires a strong understanding of construction processes and safety regulations, as well as the ability to work collaboratively with other team members on-site. *Duties* * Operate excavators for finished grade on residential foundation excavations and water/sewer installations * Conduct pre-operation inspections of equipment to ensure safety and functionality. * Collaborate with site supervisors and other operators to coordinate work activities and ensure project timelines are met. * Maintain equipment by performing routine maintenance and reporting any mechanical issues promptly. * Follow all safety protocols and regulations while operating machinery on construction sites. * Assist in site preparation by clearing debris, grading land, and digging trenches as needed. * only work in grande prairie,home everynight and no oil field tickets needed *Requirements* * Proven experience in heavy equipment operation, specifically with excavators. * Familiarity with dozer, loader, backhoe, grader operation, and paving techniques is highly desirable. * Strong mechanical knowledge to troubleshoot minor equipment issues effectively. * Valid commercial driving license (CDL) preferred but not mandatory. * Ability to work in various weather conditions and perform physically demanding tasks. * Excellent communication skills to interact effectively with team members and supervisors. * Knowledge of construction safety standards and practices is essential. * A commitment to maintaining a safe working environment at all times.
