Donald?s Fine Foods, a family-owned global provider of high-quality specialty meat products has an exciting opportunity for a 4th Class Power Engineer, based out of our location in Langley, BC. *Brief Job Description* The successful candidate must be able to maintain good relationships with the team and contractors in efforts to gain support for safety and on site programs. The right candidate must be willing to learn, and work as part of a team or on their, depending on the work required. Maintenance helpers will work directly with the Supervisor, completing tasks asked of them. *Responsibilities* * Follows all safety procedures and work in a safe manner. * Reporting to the Maintenance Manager, this role is responsible for boiler operation of a high pressure boiler and maintaining all mechanical equipment and systems in the plant. * And performing daily pre-operational inspections and repairs as necessary. * You are knowledgeable in mechanical, electrical and refrigeration systems. * You are able to use power and manual tools. * Having a Provincial Millwright Journeyman certificate or a recognized interprovincial equivalent is an asset. * Complete projects given by the plant/maintenance manager or leads. * Carry out manual tasks as required while working indoors and outdoors in all conditions. * Ability to lift heavy objects minimum of 40lbs and should be in overall good physical health, lots of walking, standing, crouching, and lifting heavier materials and tools. * Ability to communicate any issues or problems to upper management while also being able to work with other staff members to get a particular job completed. * Safely work in confined spaces, areas with height and/or at odd angles. *Requirements* * 4th Class Power Engineering ticket. * Experience in trades operating power tools, and equipment * (2) years experience of performing repairs in a food processing plant would be an asset. * Minimum 2 years maintenance experience * Ability to work and communicate well with others. * Equipment Operator Experience/ Certification (Forklift, Reach, Scissor Lift, skid steer) * Ability to lift heavy objects minimum of 40lbs and should be in overall good physical health, lots of walking, standing, crouching, and lifting heavier materials and tools. *Working hours:* Monday to Friday 11:00 PM ? 7:30 AM. *Hourly rate: *Base rate + Premium = $38.25 Job Type: Full-time Pay: $38.25 per hour Licence/Certification: * 4th Class Power Engineering (required) Work Location: In person Location Langley , BC Work location On site Salary $ 38.25 HOUR hourly Terms of employment Full time Starts as soon as possible vacancies 1 vacancy Source indeed.com #10232547320 Various locations Langley, BC
