The Opportunity The Administrative Assistant is responsible for reception at Toba Centre and provides a range of administrative functions and general office management that supports the day-to-day business needs of the organization. The position provides administrative and functional support to the senior management team. The role requires professionalism, sensitivity and acumen, strong interpersonal and public communication skills, ability to accept and assume responsibility efficiently and effectively, and the capacity to make decisions in accordance with the policies and practices of Toba Centre. The Qualifications This position requires a Grade 12 Diploma plus a related Post Secondary Certificate in Administrative Assistant or Business Administration and a minimum of 3 years of related work experience in an administrative assistant or similar role. * Proficient computer skills including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Internet, and ability to use other computer programs and utilities * Excellent organizational skills, ability to manage multiple tasks, and creative problem-solving skills * Ability to manage multiple tasks, set priorities, complete assignments, and meet deadlines with minimum direction * Strong interpersonal, public, telephone and written communication skills * Resourceful, adaptable, and strong orientation to accuracy * Professional presentation and decorum * Willingness to work collaboratively and assist with various aspects of operating a registered charity organization * Demonstrated commitment to enhancing own awareness, knowledge, and skills related to equity, diversity, and inclusion Additional Information A Prior Contact Check, Child Abuse Registry and Adult Abuse Registry Check, Criminal and Vulnerable Persons Record Check, and Winnipeg Police Enhanced Security Checks are a requirement of all Toba Centre positions.
