Job Summary: The Stone Countertop Installer will be responsible for the professional installation of stone countertops in residential and commercial settings. This role involves precise measurement, cutting, fitting, and securing of stone surfaces. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented and capable of working both independently and as part of a team. Prior experience in installation is preferred. Key Responsibilities: Site Preparation: * Review and interpret project plans, blueprints, and installation specifications. * Prepare and clean installation areas, ensuring all necessary tools and materials are ready for use. * Safely transport countertops and related materials to and from job sites. Installation: * Accurately measure to ensure a precise fit. * Cut and modify stone materials using specialized tools (saws, grinders, etc.) when necessary. * Install countertops, backsplashes, fireplaces, showers, and sink cutouts with precision and attention to detail. * Secure countertops in place using appropriate adhesives, anchors, and fasteners. * Ensure proper alignment, leveling, and seam treatments for a polished, high-quality finish. Customer Service: * Communicate with clients to ensure their needs and expectations are met during the installation process. * Provide basic care and maintenance instructions to clients for the stone surfaces. * Address any on-site issues or concerns professionally and efficiently. Safety and Compliance: * Follow all safety protocols and procedures during installation. * Wear appropriate personal protective equipment when required. * Ensure installations comply with industry standards and local building codes. Post-Installation: * Clean up the job site, removing any waste, debris, or excess materials. * Preform a final inspection to ensure the quality and accuracy of the installation. * Complete installation documentation and reports as required. Qualifications: * Previous experience in stone countertop installation or related field is preferred. * Ability to operate and maintain specialized tools and equipment safely. * Strong attention to detail and ability to perform precise measurements and cuts. * Good physical stamina and the ability to lift and carry heavy materials (50-100lbs). * Excellent communication and customer service skills. * Valid driver's license. Work Environment: * Primarily works at construction and renovation sites; travel to different locations required. * Must be able to work in both indoor and outdoor environments, and in varying weather conditions. * May involve kneeling, lifting, and standing for extended periods.
