registered early childhood educator (RECE)

Location: Satellites of West Ferris Day Nursery Hours of Operation: Shift Between 7:00 am ? 5:30pm, Monday to Friday for 7.5 hours, *potential for split shift* Wage: Competitive wage, plus WEG & Vacation Pay *Qualifications, Background: * * College diploma in Early Childhood Education, from a recognized post-secondary institution * College of ECE current registration, in good standing * Current VSC, no older than 6 months * Current Standard First Aid and Infant/Child CPR - WSIB approved * Current Immunization record * Driver?s License and Reliable Vehicle is required * Minimum *TWO* years direct work experience with children and early learning * Experience with _How Does Learning Happen (HDLH) _curriculum * Experience with the DNSSAB QA program and how it supports HDLH * Experience and knowledge of working with community agencies * Working knowledge of CCEY act *Duties (but not limited to): * * Demonstrate strict confidentiality * Demonstrate continuous ethical and professional behaviour * Demonstrate continuous Professional Learning * Demonstrate regular attendance * Implement HDLH and support planning * Implement Ministry guidelines under the CCEY act * Implement LookSee/ASQ?s and awareness of developmental needs of all children within the group * Maintain profiles and protocols for children in group * Demonstrate flexibility, dependability and ability to work as a team member * Demonstrate ability to work independently * Ensure policies and procedures of the West Ferris Day Nursery are adhered to * Promote health, safety and well-being of all children * Support positive and responsive relationships with families and children Applicants must submit a current resume, with a cover letter indicating how her/his qualifications meet the requirements listed above, as well as, why they are interested in this job opportunity.
