Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate. Work site environment: Dusty. Tasks: Load and unload goods. Operate and drive straight or articulated trucks to transport goods and materials. Oversee condition of vehicle and inspect tires, lights, brakes, cold storage and other equipment. Perform pre-trip, en route and post-trip inspection and oversee all aspects of vehicle. Record cargo information, hours of service, distance travelled and fuel consumption. Tarping and ensuring safety and security of cargo. Certificates, licences, memberships, and courses : Driver's License (Class 1 or A). Documentation knowledge: Driver logbook. Transportation/travel experience: Local. Short-haul. Specialization or experience: Specialized environmental skills and knowledge. Security and safety: Valid passport. Bondable. Criminal record check. Driving record check (abstract). Work conditions and physical capabilities: Handling heavy loads. Physically demanding. Own tools/equipment: Steel-toed safety boots.
